Additional sanctions against 14 Russian individuals and 48 legal entities were imposed by Japan on September 12. This is evidenced by documents published on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Justice of the country.

It is specified that the assets of the companies included in the sanctions lists, including the Artek children's camp and the Akhmat-Hadji Kadyrov Foundation, will be frozen. In addition, two more organizations from the Russian Federation will be subject to an export ban.
On January 11, Japan also imposed sanctions on 11 individuals and 29 legal entities registered in the Russian Federation. At that time, the lists included three Russian banks, including CMRBank, RFK Bank and Timber Bank. The measures also affected NPO Mashinostroenie and Aleksinsky Chemical Plant.
