Improving demographics is a priority for Russia. This was announced on September 11 by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an address to the participants of the plenary session of the forum of social innovations "Demography 2.0. Reboot" of the VI Forum of Social Innovations of the regions.

"The current forum's agenda focuses on a wide range of issues related to demographic policy. I would like to emphasize that improving the demographic situation, supporting the birth rate, improving people's quality of life, and promoting the values of a large family is a priority nationwide task," Igor Shchegolev, presidential envoy to the Central Federal District, read out Putin's words.

In his greeting, Putin also noted the importance of fully utilizing all the country's resources, namely government agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses, the media, and volunteers.

Konstantin Abramov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Caring Person platform, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, announced on September 6 on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum 2025 (WEF 2025) that employers will be able to pay employees up to 1 million rubles per child from 2026, while the payment will not be taxed. It is noted that this approach will allow business workers to increase the birth rate in the country.
