In the unique Museum of Time and Clocks, which opened in Moscow, visitors are invited to pay attention to popular films and iconic moments of history.

In the age of digital gadgets, mechanical watches are once again winning the hearts of collectors and fashionistas.

"Some models today at auctions of our domestic ones can reach a price tag of about 1 million rubles," said collector Viktor Mankash.

At the museum, Izvestia correspondent Sergey Khaidarov was told about the "Navigator's" watch, which has become not just a device for measuring time, but a symbol of an entire epoch. This watch is specially made to order for Yuri Gagarin. The first watches that went into space worked in zero gravity.

"106 minutes of glory. And on the arm of this orange jumpsuit, right on the left arm, there was a watch under the brand "Navigator" sewn on a sling," said Pavel Barbayanov, curator of the Museum of Time and Clocks.

The Slava, Luch and Zarya watches were very popular among the people. They were inexpensive, but of high quality, and often became gifts for important events such as weddings and graduations, or were presented as a sign of recognition for many years of work in production. Domestic watches were rapidly gaining popularity, which was also facilitated by cinema. For example, Andrei Mironov, known for his style, was one of those who shaped fashion trends.

In the comedy "The Diamond Hand", one of the characters has a stylish watch on his hand, which has become the subject of heated discussions. Some believe that this is a cult model of "Glory", while others insist that it is a "Flight de luxe" with a leather strap.

"Flight" or "Rocket" is debated. Therefore, all the factories began to be made. I wear this watch because <...> it's hard to say <...> they are attracted by history, the history of the Soviet Union. I'm passing by a Rolex," said collector Alexei Korolev.

At the end of each take, after the command "Stop! Cut!", the watch was withdrawn from the performer and placed back in the safe. It should be noted that most of the watch exhibits, especially gold pieces or female models, were props provided to the actors on the set, rather than their personal accessories.

In those days, watches served not only to determine the time, but also to demonstrate their position in society. In the film "Office Romance", the Flight watch on Lyudmila Kalugina's hand harmoniously complements her conservative and businesslike style, reflecting her status.

"The Polet watch was one of the most difficult in terms of design. One of these watches was given to Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev," said expert Vyacheslav Medvedev.

In the cult film "The White Sun of the Desert", based on the film novel by Valentin Yezhov, the clock of the main character Sukhov is mentioned only in passing. The author describes them as large, shiny, but faulty. Nevertheless, in the film Sukhov shows no less joy to the Pavel Bure wristwatch than to his revolver, happily putting them on his wrist.

The exhibition "Camera! The time! Filmed!" offers to immerse yourself in the world of cinema, showing its history through a collection of almost 500 carefully selected and preserved objects.

"There are interesting photos, interesting rarities, rare rarities. And the watches that our great actors and directors actually wore. They even found Sergei Bondarchuk's megaphone from the shooting," said Vyacheslav Murugov, a media manager and producer.

On September 8, the North Korea Art Exhibition opened at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts in Moscow. The exhibition features 123 works, including national paintings of the DPRK, prints, ceramics, mosaics and embroidery, which had not previously been shown in Russia. The authors of the exhibition highlight five-meter canvases reflecting the national traditions, philosophy and art of the country.
