A new batch of American Abrams M1A2 tanks has been delivered to Poland

A new batch of 38 Abrams M1A2 tanks manufactured in the USA has been delivered to Poland. This was announced on August 11 by the country's Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.

"We have received one of the largest sea transports, consisting of 38 M1A2 Abrams tanks and 14 maintenance vehicles," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to the minister, this equipment will soon be delivered to units of the armored forces of the Polish Armed Forces (AF).

Warsaw explains this by preparing for a possible confrontation with Russia.

A day earlier, Kosinyak-Kamysh announced Sweden's intention to urgently supply Warsaw with its aircraft and air defense systems. The head of the department did not specify which models would be sent to Poland.
