- Rosgvardeytsy practiced the storming of the village captured by the DRG during the exercises
On September 11, Rosgvardiya officers carried out an assault on a village captured by enemy saboteurs during exercises in the Ryazan region.
According to the legend of the exercises, an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) captured a border settlement, taking up defense until the main forces approached. The Russian guardsmen go on an assault, during which a street battle ensues. Units of the SOBR and military special forces are coming to the aid of the Rosgvardiya. The village was cleared by joint efforts.
However, having lost the village, the enemy tries to recapture it by throwing an armored group into the fire. This is how the most important stage of the exercises begins — the imaginary enemy is stopped by heavy artillery fire. The main caliber is the Malva self—propelled gun. It is noted that the howitzer entered service with the Russian Guard quite recently, but has already proved itself in real combat.
"A wide range of tasks: destruction, smoke, lighting. We are destroying various objects, both enemy manpower and armored vehicles, as well as communications," said the number of the artillery gun crew with the call sign Albanets.
Further, having lost their vanguard and a significant part of the armored group, the militants retreat. A tank platoon follows them. These are not just soldiers of the Russian Guard, but real participants in a special operation who perform combat missions in all areas of their armed forces.
"Our commanders and I, among others, have read books on the battles of the Battle of Stalingrad, and we can directly draw a parallel between what the settlement was then and what it is now — nothing has changed except the equipment," said Alexei, a special forces soldier.
Viktor Zolotov, head of the Russian Guard, also observed the course of joint maneuvers by special forces, artillery, tank and reconnaissance units.
"During their military service, the National Guard troops have undergone qualitative changes that have contributed to increasing their combat potential, strengthening the management system and comprehensive support, as well as the emergence of new specialties and competencies among the personnel," he said.
At the end of the maneuvers, Zolotov personally awarded the most distinguished fighters of the department. At the moment, Rosgvardiya units are preparing for another business trip to their military base. The units are undergoing exercises, are being staffed and will soon go on combat missions again.
On the same day, Zolotov announced that the Rosgvardiya had recreated tank units in its composition. The head of the department also clarified that in the last two years, the Russian Guard has improved its artillery armament. Thus, anti-tank guns, self-propelled artillery guns and multiple rocket launchers were adopted.
