The CEC Information Center started working on the eve of the single voting day
On September 11, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia launched an information center, where all data on the course of the elections in the regions, which will be held on September 12-14, will be streamed online.
CEC Chairman Ella Pamfilova clarified that special attention will be paid to the security of the elections.
"No one can intimidate, we don't go along with anyone. After all, such a gift would have been given to them if we had postponed or canceled the elections altogether, we will not make such a gift," she said.
More than 49.5 thousand polling stations will be opened in Russia for elections of various levels. At the same time, 580 of them will be opened in places of temporary residence of voters. In total, 42 election commissions of the subjects, over 1.6 thousand territorial election commissions and more than 49.5 thousand precinct election commissions will work at the elections.
The head of the CEC drew attention to the fact that more than 5,000 election campaigns of various levels will be held during the upcoming elections, where about 46,000 deputy mandates and elected positions will be filled. In particular, direct elections of the heads of 20 regions will be held.
On a single voting day, 81 regions will hold elections at various levels, from local councils to heads of subjects. In the vast majority of regions, voting will take three days.
Pamfilova said earlier in the day that the CEC of Russia takes into account the possibility of any attempts to interfere in the elections, including hacker attacks. According to her, the election commission is working to anticipate and prevent threats.
