A Russian man intending to travel abroad with an antique pocket watch was detained at the airport in Mineralnye Vody. This was announced on September 10 by the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.

The 44-year-old said he was taking the watch to Turkey as a gift for his son's wedding.

"Three Swiss Longines chronometers and a unique British Thomas Russell & Son Liverpul watch were detected by inspectors during the inspection of his luggage in the green corridor using an X—ray machine," the agency's Telegram channel says.
