Every fifth Russian would like to start the working day an hour later
An hour later than now, 18% of Russians would like to start the working day. A study on the preferences of Russians regarding their work schedule was conducted by the job search service "Jobs.ru". Izvestia got acquainted with its results on September 11.
The study showed that the majority of Russians (62%) work on a standard five-day schedule (5/2). Flexible schedule 2/2 is preferred by 7% of respondents, schedule 6/1 — 5%. Shift work schedule was indicated by 11% of respondents, and shift work method — by 4%.
"As for the start time of the working day, the most popular options were: 9:00 a.m. (33% of respondents) and 8:00 a.m. (29% of respondents). 7% of the study participants start working at 10:00 a.m., and 10% start working at 7:00 a.m. Early rises (before 6:00) are typical for 5% of working Russians," the analysts noted.
At the same time, 45% of respondents are completely satisfied with their current work schedule and would not like to change it. Among those who want to adjust the start time of the working day, 9% would prefer to start two hours later, and 5% would prefer to start three or more hours later.
Experts note that the study demonstrates the diversity of work schedules in modern Russia and the growing interest in a flexible approach to the organization of working hours. The tendency to shift the start of the working day to a later time may be associated with a change in the rhythm of life in large cities and the development of remote work formats.
On September 8, Avito Rabota experts told Izvestia how to properly plan vacations and extra days off for the November holidays in order to prolong the rest and at the same time minimize salary losses.
