The River of Talents Music House project has been launched in St. Petersburg
The River of Talents Music House project has been launched in St. Petersburg for the 19th time. The unique project will allow young performers to rise to a new level. They are currently honing their skills under the guidance of experienced craftsmen. Concerts with the participation of the winners of the project will begin in October.
46 young talents will take part in the event. Alexey Tishchenko, one of the participants, shared that he was already waiting for new information and a new round of musical energy. Oksana Zagitova, another participant, said that immediately after entering the institute, the teacher set the bar for her to be among those involved in the project.
Over the course of four days, the young talents held master classes and independent assignments. They also got the opportunity to work with the masters of the music industry.
"For such conditions to be created in one place, I can say that not only in our time there were no such projects, but now there are no such projects all over the world," said Denis Lupachev, soloist of the Mariinsky Orchestra, associate professor at the St. Petersburg Conservatory.
The River of Talents also includes a competition in which the best performers will perform with the best orchestras of the Volga cities.
"These are the regions of the Volga region where there are symphony orchestras, which we wanted to introduce to the work of our House of Music, that is, to introduce them to the young, most talented musicians of Russia, including from the Volga region. They should see how rich their country is," said Sergey Roldugin, People's Artist of the Russian Federation and artistic Director of the St. Petersburg House of Music.
This year, classes within the framework of the project are held in a record 13 specialties — from piano to oboe. One of the participants, Alice, shared that she started playing the oboe in early childhood in order to master a wide range and all expressive techniques. She clarified that she chose the instrument on her own at the age of seven because she liked the timbre and the way it looked.
Within the framework of the River of Talents, all conditions were created for young performers — the best mentors were invited, the best tools were provided, and a special, welcoming atmosphere was created. This year, classes are held not only in the old mansion on Moika, but also in the Nikolaevsky Palace. Thus, young artists have even more space for creativity and honing their skills. The concert opportunities of the House of Music are also expanding.
"When a craft reaches its culmination, its mastery, it is called art. And so we wanted art to reign in this palace," Roldugin emphasized.
Alexandra Khramova, a participant in the project, noted that the whole atmosphere created is wonderful, inspiring and inspiring.
The first session of the Summer Academy of the St. Petersburg House of Music ended in Yalta on July 29. The project participants studied under the guidance of leading Russian teachers, performed concerts and were trained for international competitions.
