Russian citizens were advised to refrain from visiting Nepal due to the ongoing protests and riots in the country. This was announced on September 9 by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The ministry also stressed that Moscow is closely monitoring the development of the situation in Nepal. It is emphasized that Russia stands for a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
