Sobyanin spoke about the popularity of MSD among motorists

Since the launch of traffic along the main course of the MSD two years ago, over 400 thousand motorists have been using the high-speed diameter every day. This was stated by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The highway connected the largest outbound highways of the city. "The MSD is the longest high—speed diameter in Russia within the city limits. The length of the straight course is 68 km," Sobyanin wrote on the MAX messenger.

According to him, the main feature of the highway is that most of it runs along overpasses.

The creation of the MSD was carried out in several stages. The main 40 km long section from the Businovskaya interchange to the Kosinskaya overpass was opened in 2022. In September 2023, the southern direction of the MSD was opened.

220 km of roads were built as part of the project. This required over 2 million cubic meters of concrete. About 12 thousand people performed the work.
