The Belarusian crossover turned out to be the bestseller of the Moscow car market

The Belarusian-made Belgee X50 crossover became the best-selling new car in Moscow in August, pushing the former capital's leader, Geely Monjaro, into second place. This was announced on September 9 by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, in his Telegram channel.

So, for a month, the circulation of the Belgee X50, which is an analog of the Chinese Geely Coolray, in the capital's market amounted to 871 units. At the same time, Geely Monjaro sales totaled 656 units.

The analyst noted that total sales of new cars in Moscow decreased by 21% compared to August last year. At the end of summer, 14.3 thousand new passenger cars were registered in the capital.

Geely (1,449 units), Haval (1,374 units) and Belgee (1,374 units) were the leaders in the vintage ranking. Lada, Chery, Toyota, Changan, and BMW rounded out the top ten. GAC and Hongqi.

In just 8 months of this year, 95.6 thousand new passenger cars were registered in the capital (-26%). Moscow's share of total sales in Russia was 12.4%.

The day before it was reported that the Belarusian crossover Belgee X50 for the first time in history topped the sales rating in the segment of foreign cars on the Russian car market. In the 36th week of this year (September 1-7), 2025, the X50 sold 1,399 units. This volume allowed him to displace the Chinese Haval Jolion crossover (1,379 units).
