A light-engine aircraft with two pilots made an emergency landing in a field near the town of Lytkarino in the Moscow region. This was announced on September 8 by the press service of the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (ZMSUT) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Telegram channel.

Investigators determined that the alleged cause was an engine failure. It is specified that the pilots on board the aircraft were not injured. Meanwhile, the aircraft itself suffered significant damage.

A preliminary investigation is being conducted into the incident and all the circumstances of the crash are being clarified.

Earlier, on September 5, a 65-year-old pilot was killed in a light-engine plane crash in the Moscow region. It was clarified that the aircraft crashed near the village of Ilyasovo in the Lukhovitsky city district. The Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport (ZMSUT) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case on violation of safety rules.
