Private Azat Azov, during the rotation of personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, provided first aid to the wounded as a result of mortar fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in frontline positions. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Sunday, September 7, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The soldiers advanced in two groups at a short distance from each other. The first group ahead came under fire and was attacked by a Ukrainian FPV drone. Azov, who was in the second group, immediately got his bearings in the situation, pointed his comrades to the nearest shelters, and himself went to help the injured soldiers from the first group.

Two soldiers suffered shrapnel wounds to their legs as a result of the APU attack, so they could not move on their own. Azov gave them first aid, stopped the bleeding and bandaged the wounds, after which he called an evacuation group.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the literacy of Guard Lieutenant Ivan Kholev, who performed the task of restoring damaged communication equipment between Russian assault groups.

The equipment was damaged during the clash, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued to fire with cluster munitions, but communication had to be restored as soon as possible. Kholev decided to send two servicemen to the site of the breakdown, and he himself corrected their movement by observing the situation around using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Thanks to the well-coordinated work and high professionalism of the three servicemen, communication was restored as soon as possible.

Earlier, on September 6, the Ministry of Defense reported that Private Ivan Kuka, as a driver, was loading ammunition into the Msta-S self-propelled artillery system (ACS) when the AFU gunners opened fire on the positions of his crew.

Prior to that, on September 5, the department told how Second Lieutenant Alexander Fadeev commanded the calculation of a self-propelled artillery installation and was given the task of inflicting fire damage on the defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
