The main prize of the 82nd Venice Film Festival went to Jim Jarmusch's film "Father, Mother, Sister, Brother," dedicated to three different families and their relationships. This was reported on September 6 by Variety magazine.
The Silver Lion was awarded to Tunisian director Kauter Ben Haniyeh's film "The Voice of Hind Rajab," which tells the story of a six-year-old girl who suffered during the conflict in Gaza.
Benny Safdie ("Crushing Machine") was recognized as the best director, and Anuparna Roy received the Horizons Award for directing.
The prize for best actress was awarded to Chinese actress Xin Zhilei ("The Sun Rises above us"), and the best actor was Italian Tony Servillo for his role in Paolo Sorrentino's film "Grace".
Earlier, on May 24, it was reported that the action-packed political thriller by Iranian director Jafar Panahi "A Simple Accident" won the Palme d'Or grand prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
