US President Donald Trump has announced the possibility of using the Ministry of War in Chicago to arrest and deport illegal migrants. He wrote about this on his Truth Social page on September 6.

Trump posted a screenshot of the post with the caption "I love the smell of deportations in the morning" and added that "Chicago will soon find out why it's called the Ministry of War."

He attached his image to the post in the image of Lieutenant Colonel Kilgore from the movie "Apocalypse Today" with the inscription "Apocalypse today".

Earlier, on September 5, Trump signed a decree renaming the Ministry of Defense to the "Ministry of War" for the duration of his presidential term. Later, Adam Smith, a member of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress, pointed out the senselessness of this decision. He also criticized Trump's foreign policy moves like the bombing of Iran and Venezuela.
