In Novi Sad, 13 police officers were injured during anti-government protests, 42 people were detained. This was stated on September 6 by Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic, his words are reported by Novosti.

Dacic noted that more than 150 police officers were injured. The demonstrators who attacked the law enforcement officers used sticks, rods, paint, pyrotechnics, flares, covering their faces with helmets and masks, he said.

On the eve of anti-government rallies in Novi Sad, participants threw stones and bottles at police officers in front of the university's Faculty of Philosophy building. As noted by Izvestia correspondent Sergey Petrov, the participants continued the action even after spraying tear gas.

On September 1, several central streets were blocked in Belgrade amid regular protests, and the city was "stuck in traffic jams." The march was organized jointly with students and students of secondary educational institutions. The protest action is of a memorial nature, since that day marked 10 months since the tragedy in Novi Sad, where 15 people died after the roof collapsed at the train station.

Anti-government protests began after 15 people died in November 2024 as a result of the collapse of the railway station in Novi Sad. The protesters blocked bridges and roads.
