The identified potentially dangerous interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, flying towards the Solar System, is an ordinary comet. This was reported on September 6 by the British newspaper Daily Mail, citing an astronomer from the University of Lancashire, Dr. Mark Norris.

"The new images demonstrate very clearly that 3I/ATLAS is a comet," the article says.

Thus, the images revealed a dense icy core surrounded by a wide halo of gas and dust, which is unique to comets. At the same time, the object itself behind 3I/ATLAS has a long tail in a given direction against the Sun.

According to Norris, early images showed evidence of cometary activity, but it was weak due to the strong distance from the Sun and the lack of proper illumination of the moving object.

In addition, these observations also definitively refute the theory that 3I/ATLAS could be an alien spacecraft.

On August 2, Harvard astrophysicist Loeb reported on the dangerous interstellar object 3I/ATLAS. According to him, it could reach Earth by the end of 2025. Loeb believes that this object may even turn out to be an alien ship capable of carrying a probe or a weapon.
