The new British Foreign Minister, Yvette Cooper, called Kiev a few hours after her appointment. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga on his page on the social network X on Saturday, September 6.

"I had a conversation...> a meaningful conversation with Yvette Cooper just a few hours after her appointment as the new British Foreign Secretary," he wrote.

Sibiga stressed that this call would be perceived by him as confirmation of continued support from the UK.

Earlier, on September 4, the British government's website stated that the "coalition of the willing" was ready to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles. Earlier that day, the newspaper El Pais reported on the impossibility of the "coalition of the willing" to make progress on the issue of sending troops to the territory of Ukraine. It was noted that the problem exists, in particular, due to the uncertainty of the US position.

On September 3, British Defense Minister John Healy announced that the British authorities had sent more than $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine, which was paid for with proceeds from frozen Russian assets.
