US President Donald Trump said that Washington would not leave unanswered the decision of the European Union to fine Google for $ 3.5 billion. According to him, such actions are "unfair" and infringe on the interests of American companies. He wrote about this on his Truth Social page on September 5.

"Today, Europe hit Google with a $3.5 billion fine, effectively taking money that could have gone to investments and jobs in the United States. It is very unfair, and the American taxpayer will not tolerate this," Trump stressed.

He also recalled the $17 billion fine previously imposed on Apple and promised to take action.

"If this happens again, I will be forced to start proceedings to cancel the unfair fines," the American leader said.

Earlier, on September 2, large investors from Asia and the Middle East, including sovereign wealth funds, began to massively reorient their investments abroad amid the uncertain policy of the American leader. According to Roberto Cagnati, head of portfolio solutions at Partners Group, investors are concerned not only about where to invest their money, but also about the currency. They find it convenient to open accounts in euros and deposit funds in European banks so as not to depend on the American financial system.
