- The State Duma of the Russian Federation noted the importance of the declaration of friendship between Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan
The Khojent Declaration on Eternal Friendship between Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, signed this year, serves as the cornerstone of the international security system. On September 5, Russian State Duma deputy Stanislav Naumov told Izvestia.
"In today's world, which is often characterized by instability and confrontation, the importance of documents such as the Khojent Declaration on Eternal Friendship between Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan cannot be overestimated. Its importance has a multi—level character," the politician noted.
First, according to him, it is a practical foundation for stability.
"It has created a political atmosphere of trust, without which a subsequent settlement of the most complex issues on the border, water and energy balance and trade would have been impossible. In fact, this is not just a symbol, but a working roadmap that has proven its effectiveness," the deputy said.
According to him, the Khojaly Declaration and subsequent agreements will allow neighboring countries not just to coexist, but to become complementary economies and reliable partners in the fight against common threats.
"It is important to emphasize that vital infrastructures such as transport, energy, and water resources have become the subject of the agreements. And this is the most solid and tangible foundation for real, rather than declarative, economic integration. It is precisely such concrete projects based on trust that make a direct and practical contribution to the implementation of the Greater Eurasia concept," the deputy said.
He stressed that on a global scale, such bilateral declarations of friendship and cooperation serve as the cornerstone of the international security system.
On July 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Kyrgyz leader Sadyr Japarov on the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration on Eternal Friendship, Alliance and Partnership between the two countries. The Russian leader expressed confidence that Moscow and Bishkek will continue to strengthen relations in a bilateral format and within the framework of such associations as the EurAsEC, the CSTO, the CIS and the SCO.
