Sobyanin signed an order on payments to veterans on the anniversary of the Battle of Moscow

By the 84th anniversary of the beginning of the Soviet counteroffensive in the battle of Moscow, WWII veterans will receive one-time financial assistance in the amount of 40 thousand rubles. The corresponding decree was signed by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

Traditionally, disabled people and participants of the Great Patriotic War, participants in the defense of Moscow, including those awarded the medal "For the Defense of Moscow", as well as residents of the capital who participated in the construction of defensive lines and worked in the city from July 1941 to January 1942, will receive support.

According to an approximate estimate, about 900 people will receive the payment — participants and witnesses of the heroic events of the war years.
