Guards Second Lieutenant Alexander Fadeev commanded the calculation of a self-propelled artillery installation and was given the task of inflicting fire damage on the defensive positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Russian Ministry of Defense on Friday, September 5, told about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.
When the crew was completing the task and firing at the enemy, Fadeev noticed two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the sky. The objects were heading towards the control center and posed an obvious threat, so the second lieutenant immediately took action. With small arms, he eliminated both drones, after which he returned to adjusting the fire of his calculation.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the competent actions of Private Ivan Sokolov, who was conducting aerial reconnaissance and noticed a heavy Baba Yaga-type drone in the air.
The enemy drone was moving towards the positions of the Russian motorized infantry. Sokolov promptly contacted the command and reported the threat, after which he sent his reconnaissance drone to intercept. Approaching the enemy drone, the Russian UAV rammed it, which led to an explosion. The attack on the Russian positions was prevented.
Earlier, on September 4, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Guard Corporal Sergei Klotsky was in the firing position of the 2S19 Msta-S howitzer and was calculating the coordinates of the AFU stronghold when he noticed an approaching swarm of enemy FPV drones in the sky.
Prior to that, on September 3, the department said that Sergeant Anatoly Sivov was conducting aerial reconnaissance when he noticed an enemy UAV approaching Russian positions.
