A number of European countries have joined the new EU sanctions against Russia
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Moldova and Ukraine supported the EU measures imposed in 2025 against Russian and Moldovan citizens, as well as a number of foreign journalists. This was announced on September 4 by the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kalla, her statement was published on the website of the European Council.
"Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine align themselves with this council decision," the statement said.
Earlier, on September 3, Britain imposed sanctions against three organizations and eight individuals as part of anti-Russian restrictions. It was reported that the list included such organizations as the All-Russian public and state movement of children and youth "Movement of the First", the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory" and the Akhmat Kadyrov Public Foundation.
