Investigators have opened a criminal case into the crash of a light-engine aircraft in the Ryazan region, which killed the pilot. This was announced on September 4 by the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport, resulting in the death of a person by negligence")," follows from the publication of the department in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that during takeoff near the village of Zimarovo in the Ryazan region, a light-engine aircraft crashed, as a result of which the pilot died from his injuries at the scene.

The necessary examinations were ordered to establish the circumstances of the incident.

The crash of the X-32 "Bekas" light-engine aircraft in the Ryazan region became known earlier that day. It was clarified that the plane crashed in the Alexander Nevsky district.
