In Chita, an unknown man on an electric scooter hit a pregnant girl

A criminal case has been opened in the Trans-Baikal Territory on the fact of an accident with an electric scooter, as a result of which a pregnant girl was injured. This was reported on September 4 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Trans-Baikal Territory.

"The media published information about a hit—and-run by a person driving a scooter on a pregnant girl in the city of Chita," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

The head of the SU IC for the region instructed to initiate a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 268 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of rules ensuring safe operation of transport"). Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

TASS, citing the Ministry of Health of the Trans-Baikal Territory, reported that the victim is 17 years old and in a moderate condition. She is receiving the necessary medical care at the regional clinical hospital.

Earlier in the day, a woman was injured when a girl was hit by a rented electric scooter near the Airport in Moscow. A 20-year-old girl, driving a rental electric scooter, hit a woman and drove away from the scene of the accident. The victim needed medical help.
