The menu of the Baltika Fest festival was made by famous chefs
As part of the large-scale Baltika Fest food festival, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Baltika Brewing Company, guests will be offered a unique menu created by three famous chefs with dishes representing five regions of Russia, as well as a musical program with the participation of famous bands.
The recipes were developed by experts studying family cookbooks.
"These are all canonical family values, they are embedded here. It was such a brainstorming session. We have accumulated these recipes and made high—quality delicious dishes," said Sergey Karpov, chef of the Favorite restaurant.
It is known that at Baltika Fest there will be six gastronomic zones that will present the peculiarities of cuisines from different regions of our country.
"There will be the North, there will be the middle belt, there will be the Baltic coast, there will be the Caucasus and the Volga region. That is, different stories, different traditional cuisine, so that guests can experience the traditions of different regions of our country," said Nikita Tsatsyn, regional chef of the Igora Resort, Winter's Cottage Park Hotel.
Guests will be offered a variety of culinary delights: a corner of the northwest with seafood, Caucasian cuisine with meat and spicy herbs, hearty pilaf from the Volga region, and for connoisseurs of culinary humor, the Baltiysky Railway station, where fried pies and sandwiches will be served. This was told to Izvestia by Egor Nikonov, the brand chief of the resort, the Point on the Map and Winter's Cottage hotel chains.
"This is our chef's vibe, a joke – in terms of the fact that the Baltic Railway Station is fried pies and sandwiches," Nikonov explained.
Izvestia correspondent Natalia Oskerko pointed out that not only recipes from different regions will be on the menu, but also ingredients, for example, 5,000 crayfish from Karelian lakes were ordered for the guests.
The festival is a gift from Baltika on the occasion of its 35th anniversary. One of the largest beer producers in Russia not only offers recreation, but also provides an opportunity to learn more about the cultural customs of various regions of the country, where beer has historically been part of the gastronomic traditions.
During the event, stars will perform on stage, including singer Marie Crymbreri, as well as the rock band Chaif, whose lead singer Vladimir Shakhrin is known not only as a musician, but also as a gourmet.
"Russia has become a very gastronomic country. Over the past 30 years, we've started to understand food, and we've developed a taste for food. This wide geography makes our life even tastier than in many other countries," said Shakhrin.
On September 13, the Baltika Fest gastro festival will be held at the Igora Drive autodrome in St. Petersburg. The event will be headlined by Marie Crymbreri, the legend of Russian rock "Chaif" and the cult band of the 1990s and 2000s "Disco Accident".
Guests can enjoy master classes and gastro shows, food and drinks, as well as live performances and interactive entertainment. Tickets for the gastrofestival can be purchased at the online ticket offices and on the website of the Igora Drive complex.
