Tsivilev called the production of too cheap electricity irresponsible.
Producing very cheap electricity is irresponsible, as this approach does not create incentives for further development of the industry. This was announced on September 4 by the Russian Ministry of Energy Sergey Tsivilev on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum — 2025 (WEF-2025).
"When we use insanely cheap electricity, it means that we are not developing it, and we will pass all the problems on to our children and grandchildren. We need to find a reasonable balance and take on some responsibility," he said.
