- Kiev announced the possibility of opening the border some time after the end of the conflict.
Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, said on September 3 that the men's departure abroad would be possible only some time after the end of the armed conflict.
"The conflict will end and they will allow it. Martial law will cease to operate, there will be a certain short interim period, then the electoral cycle, and then the borders will be completely open," Novini Live quotes Podolyak.
In his opinion, even after the full opening of the borders, there will be no mass departure, especially if Ukraine receives security guarantees. Podolyak also noted that many Ukrainian migrants in Europe remain without stable work and income, even having an official status.
Earlier in the day, it was reported about the mass departure of 17-year-olds before military registration. Verkhovna Rada deputy Vasyl Mokan said that the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allows men between the ages of 18 and 22 to travel abroad.
