The Belarusian car brand Belgee has announced a new model for Russia
The presentation of the new model of the Belarusian brand Belgee, which will become the third in the brand's line on the Russian market, will take place at the end of September. This was reported by Quto on September 3, citing company representatives.
Details about the model are not specified. The publication suggests that the novelty will be the renamed Geely Emgrand. In Belarus, this car has been offered for some time under the name Belgee S50.
In Russia, the Belgee brand is represented by the X50 (formerly Coolray) and X70 (formerly Atlas Pro) crossovers. They are produced at the Belji Joint-Stock company in the Minsk region.
The Geely Emgrand is offered in Russia with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 122 hp, which accelerates the sedan from zero to "hundreds" in 12.9 seconds. The engine is powered by a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The price varies from 2.18 to 2.66 million rubles, depending on the configuration.
Earlier, on August 11, it was reported that the modernization of production had been completed at the Belarusian plant of the Northern Administrative District Belji. The changes primarily affected the welding and body painting workshops. After the modernization, the number of robots in the factory was increased from 10 to 43 units. The measures taken made it possible to increase the production of cars from 15 to 30 units per hour.
