From July 1, 2026, biometrics for real estate transactions will be introduced in the Russian Federation. This was announced on September 3 by Alexander Yakubovsky, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

"On July 1, 2026, changes will come into force that will allow the use of biometric data when making remote real estate transactions," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
