From September 5 to October 6, the Russian Ministry of Finance will increase sales of foreign currency and gold to 1.4 billion rubles. This was announced on September 3 on the official website of the department.
"The total amount of funds from the sale of previously acquired foreign currency and gold will amount to 31.5 billion rubles. The operations will be conducted from September 5, 2025 to October 6, 2025, respectively, the daily volume of sales of foreign currency and gold will amount to the equivalent of 1.4 billion rubles," the publication says.
It is noted that these measures have been taken in connection with the projected reduction in oil and gas revenues. The expected deviation in September is 21 billion rubles, and the actual deviation in August was minus 10.5 billion rubles from the planned volume.
