Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed out the realism of his deepfake, which appeared several years ago. This was stated on September 3 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at the session of the Eastern Economic Forum – 2025 (WEF-2025).

"I remember very well how my supervisor called me and said: "There's a video here," he says, "it's not me." I say, "No, it's not you." He says, "Well, kind of like me." I say, "Sort of, but not you," she said during the session "Measuring the Social Impact of AI: progress, risks, and Development Paths."
