A court in the Zaporizhia region sentenced a spy of Ukraine to life imprisonment.
In the Zaporizhia region, a court sentenced Ukrainian spy Nikolai Jos to life imprisonment, because of whose actions three Russian servicemen died. This was announced on September 3 on the website of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the agency, the defendant transmitted to the Ukrainian side the coordinates of the location of the Russian military personnel defending the anti-aircraft missile launcher, with geolocation data.
Later, based on these data, a strike was carried out on the positions of the Russian troops, as a result of which three servicemen were killed, and an anti-aircraft missile launcher was destroyed.
Jos was found guilty under Article 276 ("Espionage"), paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 281 ("Sabotage"), part 2 of Article 281.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in a subversive community").
"The court, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor, sentenced Jos to life imprisonment," the statement said.
On August 27, a resident of the Timashevsky district of the Krasnodar Territory was sentenced to 13 years in a high-security penal colony for passing information about Russian military facilities to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). It was noted that he established contact with the supervisor of the SBU and agreed to carry out his tasks, in particular, to transmit information about the location of military facilities in Russia.
