American brands are losing some of their appeal abroad due to changes in the perception of the United States. Chris Kempczinski, CEO of McDonald's, told CNBC about this on September 2.

"The aura around America has faded a bit. The company is closely monitoring the reaction of consumers against the background of changing attitudes towards the United States," he said.

According to Kempczynski, the situation in the fast food industry is stable so far, which he attributes to McDonald's long experience in different countries.

Earlier, on May 27, the State Duma announced the return of foreign brands to Russia. The bill described the conditions for refusing to buy out assets. As noted, there were foreign players who left the market with the hope of returning in the future. French Renault and American McDonalds were attributed to this case.
