Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez has arrived in China for a parade marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the official surrender of Japan.

"I am in Beijing to take part in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of victory over Japanese aggression in the framework of the anti-fascist world," he wrote on September 2 on the social network X.

Diaz-Canel Bermudez noted the cooperation between Cuba and China, and also expressed admiration and support for the country and the people of China.

Earlier in the day, it was reported about the arrival of the DPRK leader in Beijing. He will take part in events marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the resistance of the Korean people to the Japanese invaders.

On August 28, Reuters reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un will attend the Victory Day parade in Beijing, dedicated to the official surrender of Japan during World War II. It was noted that the event will be attended by heads of state and government from 26 countries.
