Sergeant Sivov used a drone to destroy an APU drone

Sergeant Anatoly Sivov was conducting aerial reconnaissance when he noticed an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) approaching Russian positions. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, September 3, told about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

Sivov decided to go in from the flank and attack the drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Showing great skill in controlling the drone, he conducted a maneuver and neutralized the enemy UAV.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and professionalism of Sergeant Oleg Shelkoplyasov, who, as part of an engineering group, equipped positions and firing points when he discovered a wounded Russian serviceman.

Shelkoplyasov applied his knowledge of first aid and did everything necessary to save the soldier's life, after which he organized his evacuation to a medical facility for further treatment.

Earlier, on September 2, the Russian Defense Ministry told how Private Alexei Buslaev, as part of an emergency UAV crew, continued to search for AFU firing points under enemy artillery fire and eliminated them.

Prior to that, on September 1, the department reported that Junior Sergeant Vasili Zvonov of the Guard, as part of the calculation of a 122-millimeter D-30 howitzer, using a drone, detected the approach of FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He informed the command and worked together with the gun cover group, personally destroying three FPV drones with accurate shots.
