According to her, poisoning can occur with excessive use of chlorine during disinfection, and with a lack of it, the risk of bacterial growth increases.
The specialist also added that fungal diseases can be contracted in the pool, most often not in the water, but in the locker room or when walking barefoot along the edge of the pool. In addition, there is a possibility of contracting intestinal infections, including rotavirus, and children are particularly at risk of an infectious skin disease called molluscum contagiosum.
