Rescuers have been searching for a climber who disappeared in the mountains of Krasnaya Polyana for the second day. This was reported on September 2 in the press service of the Southern Regional Search and Rescue Squad (URPSO). The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"For the second day, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are searching for a 58-year-old Sochi resident who disappeared in the area of the Aibga ridge. On August 31, a man on the descent fell behind the group. Having discovered that one of the participants of the hike was missing, the tourists began to search for the missing man, but without success," the detachment wrote on its Telegram channel.
Rescuers are looking for him at an altitude of more than 1,700 m. The press service clarified that the group of tourists had not registered with the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In total, 10 people and three pieces of equipment are involved in the search.
Earlier, on August 28, a young resident of Murmansk needed the help of rescuers, who got stuck while descending from a cliff on the East Bypass Road. The man did not calculate his strength and did not take into account the weather conditions.
