Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would consider the proposal of Nepalese Prime Minister Sharma Oli to visit the country. He announced this on September 1 during a meeting with the head of the Government of Nepal on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in China.
Earlier in the day, the Russian leader met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon at the SCO summit. According to Putin, he and his colleague are in constant contact.
On September 1, the Russian President addressed a meeting of the heads of the SCO member states. According to him, the association is gradually increasing its influence in resolving international issues. Putin also noted that the average increase in the gross domestic product of the SCO member states last year was more than 5%, and industrial production — 4.6%.
