Svetlana Balanova, General Director of the National Media Group (NMG), spoke on Monday, September 1, about promising areas of cooperation with the Chinese news agency Xinhua after signing a cooperation agreement between the companies.

Indeed, Xinhua is one of the largest news agencies, and for us this is an opportunity to convey to a very large audience the most relevant picture of the world, which is often lacking today. And the exchange of technologies, the exchange of internships for our employees, the exchange of content and the opportunity to create new media formats — all this will give us this new agreement, will give us the opportunity to develop these new approaches," she stressed.

Balanova stressed that the cooperation agreement between the companies is aimed at strengthening the information dialogue between the two countries and provides for comprehensive cooperation in various areas of the media industry.

It is specified that NMG and Xinhua will support the joint production and distribution of media content, jointly train employees, and unite correspondent networks.
