Flower imports from China increased in Primorye on the eve of Knowledge Day

In Primorsky Krai, on the eve of September 1, the volume of imports of cut flowers from China increased. In the period from August 1 to August 28, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists monitored the import of more than 1.6 million flower sections.

The slices were especially actively imported in the period a week before September 1. Thus, more than 676 thousand units were received in Primorye, writes IA PrimaMedia with reference to the agency. The volume of imported flowers has increased by almost 6 times compared to the same period in 2024. Since the beginning of the year, the region has imported more than 12.3 million flowers from China.

They mainly import roses, including bush roses, gerberas, chrysanthemums and decorative greenery. The shipments undergo the necessary phytosanitary control. So far, no violations have been recorded during the import of quarantined products.

Earlier, on August 26, Izvestia learned from the data of the OFD Platform company that the cost of a bouquet of flowers by the beginning of the school year would amount to about 4 thousand rubles. It was noted that the average check increased by 9% over the year. At the same time, the purchase of flowers online will cost more — 4,6 thousand rubles.
