Death toll from earthquake in Afghanistan rises to 622

As a result of the earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, 622 people were killed, and more than 1.5 thousand more were injured. This was reported on September 1 by the Reuters news agency with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

"About 622 people were killed and more than 1.5 thousand injured as a result of the earthquake that occurred in eastern Afghanistan. <...> Helicopters transported the wounded to a safe place from under the rubble, which were dismantled in search of survivors," the publication says.
