Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the country's Independence Day and noted the dynamic development of Russian-Uzbek relations.

"Relations between our states are developing dynamically in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. Effective coordination of efforts has been established within the framework of the CIS, SCO and other multilateral structures," reads a statement posted on the Kremlin's website.
