Indian Prime Minister Modi expressed his joy at meeting with Putin

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, commenting on his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on September 1, noted that every meeting with the Russian leader brings him pleasure.

"We are exchanging views with President Putin and the Chairman of [China] Xi Jinping during the SCO summit. It is always a pleasure to meet with President Putin!" he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Modi stressed that the leaders of the states are currently continuing their communication in Tianjin.

Putin arrived at the SCO summit the same day earlier. The President was greeted with the song "Kalinka-Malinka" at the venue.

Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), noted in an interview with Izvestia the high level of international cooperation broadcast by the SCO summit. He announced a sharp increase in SCO economic and investment cooperation after the upcoming meetings.
