The Chinese side plans to provide loans worth $1.4 billion (10 billion yuan) to members of the Interbank Association of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This was announced on September 1 by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"We plan to, <...> issue a new loan to the members of the Interbank Association in the amount of 10 billion yuan in the next three years," he said during his speech.
