Kim Jong-un visits new missile factory in North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inspected the new missile production facility, which was put into operation. This was reported on August 31 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

According to the agency, Kim Jong-un got acquainted with the technological lines, including automated production systems for manufacturing and assembling missile components. The DPRK authorities said that the launch of the plant would significantly increase national capacities for the production of various types of missiles and ensure their mass production.

During his visit, the DPRK leader approved three new plans for the development of missile production and related defense spending items.

According to the country's authorities, the opening of the enterprise will be a key stage in the program to strengthen the armed forces.

The republic is also ready to receive Russian tourists.

KCNA reported on August 30 that Kim Jong-un met with family members of Korean servicemen who died in the special military operation zone. It is specified that the Chairman of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea expressed deep regret for the irreparable loss and the inability of the servicemen to return home. He stressed that the state is wholeheartedly ready to support the families of the victims so that they can find a new, happy life in Pyongyang, surrounded by national respect and admiration.
