A suspect in the murder of former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andrei Parubiy, was detained. This was announced on September 1 by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with reference to Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko and head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Malyuk.

"Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klimenko and head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk have just reported on the arrest of a suspect in the murder of Andriy Parubiy," Zelensky said in a Telegram message.
