Putin has increased the number of scholarships for young scientists for military developments

Russian President Vladimir Putin has increased the number of scholarships for young scientists and designers for breakthrough developments in the field of armaments. The relevant decree of the head of state has been published on the official portal of legal information.

It clarifies that the number of scholarships for scientists, designers, technologists and other engineering and technical workers of organizations responsible for the execution of state defense orders is increasing to 650 per year, and for specialists and young (up to 35 years old inclusive) workers - up to 1950 per year.

The decree comes into force on January 1, 2026.
