The electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass" intercepted 664 Ukrainian drones in a week

The Dome of Donbass air defense and electronic warfare system prevented 664 terrorist attacks on the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past week. This was announced on August 31 by the regional directorate of the FSB of Russia.

"The electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass" prevented 664 terrorist attacks from the enemy during the week. 412 drones were eliminated over Donetsk and Makeyevka, and 252 over Gorlovka," the report says.

The authorities also noted that Ukrainian militants have begun actively using new models of Czech-made FP-1 attack drones, which are a cheap analogue of the British Storm Shadow missile and the French SCALP. These drones are capable of delivering a warhead weighing up to 120 kg over a distance of more than 1.6 thousand km.

The enemy uses the tactics of combined raids, launches "false drones" to open the air defense systems and distract the electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass", after which it attacks with Czech FP-1 equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead with a total explosive mass of more than 60 kg.

On August 26, Ukrainian forces attempted a terrorist attack using an FP-1 drone on a large gas station in Makeyevka, located near a busy transport interchange, market and shopping malls. On August 27, drones attacked peaceful neighborhoods and energy infrastructure facilities in Makeyevka and Dokuchaevsk.

In addition, an AQ 100 Bayonet attack drone attacked an electricity supply facility in the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk. The enemy drones were intercepted by the Donbass Dome electronic warfare system, after which FSB explosives technicians neutralized the suppressed drones and destroyed the warheads without harm to civilians and infrastructure.

On August 23, it was reported that the electronic warfare system "Dome of Donbass" prevented 784 terrorist attacks on the DPR in a week. It was clarified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using the tactics of massive night raids on the cities of the DPR. The FSB added that the militants of the Kiev regime tried to attack water supply facilities and electrical substations with drones with suspended ammunition.
